Housing & Community Living Support

SAIL strives to connect individuals living with a disability to the affordable, accessible housing of their choice in the community through working and collaborating with many local organizations.

Finding a home can be a daunting task for many individuals, but at times, finding an affordable, accessible housing option can be almost impossible. However, the Disability Advocates at SAIL can assist an individual with weeding through the options, understanding the housing process, ensuring completion of applications, and making sure that those options are appropriate for the needs of the individual seeking the home. We also support individuals with their own advocacy, or can find resources in the community to make a smooth transition to appropriate housing.

Our services through communication with our Intake and Disability Advocates:

• Supporting individuals in gaining access to affordable, accessible housing by focusing on choices that match personal and financial needs
• Collaborating with many local agencies to improve housing options
• Advocating for legislative changes and local support to improve housing options in our community
• Assisting individuals with applications and search techniques for housing options that fit their needs.
